I've looked at the console logs and compared to the working system and there were no differences between the two when launching both the client and the game and I'm unable to find any type of logging that shows me what is actually causing the error message I am receiving. I've requested Blizzard to provide me a method of starting the game with some type of -debug flag. I see others having an identical issue on both Mac and Windows systems with very little success addressing on Windows and none that I can find when it comes to addressing on Mac. I've opened a ticket (instead of just posting) to Blizzard's forums. Does iTrash offer any additional functionality? Have NOT tried uninstalling Battle.Net and HoTs and re-installing with SIP disabled. Would appreciate if anyone has any ideas since I am thoroughly convinced this is in fact a permissions issue (especially since the game won't even launch under a new login that has been created).ĭisabled SIP - no go. Reset what permissions I could (/home directory). Problem is their FAQs for addressing refer to the fixing permissions that used to be part of Disk Util (and not much else). Opened a support ticket with Blizzard, and they are pointing to permission issues. Anything blocking port connectivity from a router / firewall perspective has been ruled out because of this as well as disabling the firewall on my own system and removing anti-virus software as an attempt to get it functioning. There is another iMac in the house with the OS and same games installed on it (Heroes installed AFTER upgrading to 10.12) and it works flawlessly.
